Une Chaude Journée

Last full day and the hottest one yet. Definitely opposite of the way we started.

We could not stay across from Les Invalides without paying a visit to Napoleon. A beautiful location, the overall building contains many museums and monuments around France’s military history. We only had time for the Dôme des Invalides where many French Military heroes are entombed including Napoleon I and some of his family members. The War Museum looked quite interesting but alas it will have to wait for ‘la prochaine fois’.

Then it was off to the other stop of the day, La Fête des Tuileries. This is the third time we have had a chance to do this, even know where the sausages we like will be located. The prices have gone up so we were a little less indulgent in rides than we have been in the past but still lots of fun for all.

After a nice stroll around the Jardin des Tuileries, Louve and Palais Royal we decided to go visit our usual haunt in Paris 6e. No place like (almost) home. Soon the real home, time to face the felines…
