A Touching Tale…

I look at a quote on the wall telling me what it is like in WW2 it makes me think how lucky I am because I am not alive back then. I think “Learning about Anne Frank is like reliving WW2 and makes me want to change the world and how badly we treat different races.” To tell the truth i want to go back in time and smack Hitler 1,000,000,000 times to knock some sense into him. Today is my last day in Amsterdam and I feel that I want to stay longer….

  1. Well said Syd. Seeing the Anne Frank house and reading the story together was very moving. Daddy and I are glad we shared this together with you to understand how life may not always come out the way you think it may. XOXO.

  2. Those were some sad times and many people died trying to defeat Hitler and his henchmen. My father flew 25 bombing missions over Germany to smash the third reich into smithereens and slap Hitler silly. Your grandmother Barbara’s dad was a navigator on a B-24 that was shot down over Germany and he spent a good part of WWII being tortured and starved. He returned home a broken and crippled man. We all owe our way of life today to these brave men and women who gave so much of themselves. I can tell from your itinerary that you will have many more learning opportunities on this vacation.
